BACK TO ROOTS is a deliciously distinctive food series that celebrates Indigenous cuisine. Season 1 follows home cook Perry Omeasoo on his personal journey towards better health as he demonstrates modified versions of traditional Indigenous games and skill training. Season 2 features Matricia Bauer who takes viewers on a Wapakwanis plant walk to find what has served as Indigenous food and medicine for generations. She then showcases her culinary and botanical skills and whips up a tasty dish, drink, medicine, or cosmetic with the locally found flora.
